The first few days of my recent trip to Hawaii were spent travelling around the big island.
After the ten hour flight from Australia to Oahu it there was a four hour wait before the flight to the big island. Then we had to find a rental car and find the hostel as it got dark while driving on the wrong side of the road in a place where the smallest vehicle on the road weighed about three tons.
About 50 Km's and two hours later we arrived in the hostel in captain cook.
We then had to find some food which is pretty much impossible in Hawaii unless you live on a diet of straight junk food, which explains the physique of most of the population.
The hostel had a large resident population of geckos.
The next day was spent at a rocky beach not far from the hostel.
Coconuts
Crabs
The stars.
