The three of us decided to go to the Royal a week ago. Sadly it rained constantly while we were there so there was not a lot we could do. Still a few spiders about and there were at least 5 kingfishers by the river in Audley including one azure.
The cheeky wee spider is the male, he will risk his life trying to sneak in close to the big bad female for a chance of passing on his DNA to another generation of Golden Orb-weavers :-)
