Whananaki is famous for amoungst other things having the longest foot bridge in the southern hemisphere.

It also has some pretty good beaches but since it rained the whole time I did not get to spend that much time at them. Did get out for a few walks although most of them were not that good and involved walking across farmland.

Nonetheless I did manage to see a barbary dove which is a new one for the list.

Due to the poor weather we were forced to travel farther a field for something to do and the clock museum in Whangarei was widely touted as the most exciting place in all of northland and i have to say they were not wrong.
