Climbing again

Had a nice weekend climbing and only fell a few times although I did fall on a grade 10 crack I was trying to lead due to my inability to jam luckily the excessive amount of cams I placed held.

Weddings

Well thought I would finally get around to putting up some pictures from Simon's and Aleisha's wedding. It was a lovely wedding and despite raining all week the weather held off when it needed to.

Rufous fantail at work

A rufous fantail briefly braved the perils of marrickville to visit the minuscule garden at work.

Blue Mountains Trip

Over the Australia day long weekend I spent four days in the blue mountains with Adelle.
Managed to do a few climbs and a few walks and spent a lot of time just vegetating and eating pies.

Hot and Sweaty

Went for a wee wander from Wahroonga to Kuringai on Sunday.
We decided to start early before the heat so it was out of bed at 6:00 to get the train just before 7. The first half of the walk was lovely along the river heading to apple tree bay from Wahroonga.
Managed to get a few new birds as well with a cicadabird and a yellow-tufted honeyeater.
Unfortunately the second half of the day was not so plesent and the 32 degree heat kicked in while we were walking up the hill to kuringai. Still at least the cicadas were rather impressive and we had the track all to ourselves.

Quiet

Not much has been happening, Christmas came and went along with new years, finally finished my corrections and managed to see a Striated heron, Fairy martins, Red rumped parrots, Dusky wood swallows and sharptailed sandpipers as well as a large blue tongue lizard all within 30 minutes of the pitiful little box I live in.
