Barrington Tops National Park

Over the long weekend last month, Allan, Gemma, Adelle and I headed up to Barrington Tops National Park. Despite the cold the Polblue camp ground was reasonably crowded with large 4WD vehicles and there unique occupants.

It was also rather cold for most of the days we were there and when it was it was not cold it was raining so it reminded me of home which was nice.
Snow
Just to prove it does snow in Australia.

Wildlife was pretty sparse and you probably could have counted all the animals we saw in the national part on your fingers. On the drive out we saw quite a bit more with lots of kangaroos in the fields. We were lucky enough to see some horses in the park.

Horse
Not bad for a feral animal.

I always wanted to get up to Barrington Tops National Park but never made it. Looks pretty nice though.

It's not bad but nothing spectacular.

Jep - fun thing to try; being up high and cold during winter. However, we drove home through the Eastern part of the National park, at it looked much more vibrant and alive. We saw more wildlife driving out than we had seen the couple of days we camped up there. Next time it could be fun to give Gloucester Tops NP a go.

Cheers Allan
